Online Continuing Education Courses

Requirements for Online Courses

You should be computer literate and familiar with PC-based systems to participate in the online courses. Prepayment is required before you receive log-in information, including address and password. You must provide an e-mail address at time of registration/payment.

Course Topics

  • Hazardous Waste & Environmental Courses

    In partnership with the Hazardous Materials Training and Research Institute, the Rocky Mountain Center now offers a number of online courses. These ourses must be completed within six months from the date of registration. No refunds will be given. Certificate will be issued on the date you pass the final exam. Course content is provided through a variety of instructional materials, including online text, manuals, websites, assignments, exercises, quizzes, presentations, audio, video, glossaries, and/or final exams.

    Note: To begin one of these courses, you must have a password. Passwords will not be given out until payment is received. Please allow 48-72 hours after receipt of payment for a password to be e-mailed to you.


  • OSHA 510 and 511 Standards courses online
  1. Select a Course Library (Construction Safety, General Industry, Outreach, Train the Trainer) The OSHA 10/30hr Courses are located within the OSHA Outreach Course Library

  2. Select the Desired Course by clicking on the check box located next to the course title, and then “Add to Cart”

  3. Verify the course title and quantity and click on the “Checkout and Proceed” button.

  4. Provide student information on the registration page and click on “Information Correct Proceed with Registration” (Enter email and password; this will be your login)

  5. On the Billing page, select the appropriate Credit Card for your payment method, enter your credit card information in the data field boxes and click on “Information Correct Proceed with Registration”.

  6. The next page will show a confirmation receipt, with student’s login information.

  7. Proceed to take the course.

  • Occupational Safety and Health

    This course will be conducted from July 13-30, 2010  and covers a wide cross-section of occupational safety and health.

  • Professional Ethics and the Practice of Industrial Hygiene

    This course is designed to provide an introduction to the ethics underlying professional industrial hygiene practice and meet the ABIH two-hour requirement for ethics training.  Download the brochure for more information.
