Graduates of the program enhance the health of workers and communities through

  • management of toxic substances,
  • pollution prevention and control,
  • hazardous waste site remediation, and
  • community risk assessment and communication.
The HSAT program at RMCOEH is closely associated with the Industrial Hygiene program. In addition to core industrial hygiene courses, HSAT students study quantitative risk assessment and hazardous substance management. The Hazardous Substances course qualifies students as having taken and as being qualified to teach the OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response course.

Full-time students may receive full or partial NIOSH financial support that can include tuition payment and provision of a stipend.
