Academic Phase

32 semester hours of Master of Occupational Health course work.
Practicum Phase
- At least 8 weeks at industrial sites to gain experience in industrial occupational health and safety programs.
- At least 6 weeks at population-based occupational and/or environmental sites, such as OSHA, Utah Labor Commission, NIOSH, or public health departments.
- At least 12 weeks in OM community clinics with patient continuity experiences.
- Additional specialty rotations, such as pulmonary, orthopedics, or dermatology, selected based on a resident's prior training and experience.

Completion of a research project.
Throughout the Program
- Participate in Journal Club, Occupational Medicine Grand Rounds, regularly scheduled teaching sessions, and provide community education on asbestos and other topics.
- Participate in field data collection for major ongoing research projects at the RMCOEH.
