Alcohol and drug abuse counselors, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists and individuals requiring intermediate and advanced ethics training for professional development and/or licensing requirements.

Objectives:

1. Identify difficult therapist dilemmas and apply ethical and legal principles and codes in various patient situations.
2. Anticipate appropriate and ethical therapist behavior; discuss proper therapist behavior.
3. View demonstrations of actual complex clinical situations while preparing appropriate methods of handling patient situations.
4. Gain confidence handling difficult patient dilemmas in real life settings.
5. Assess and critique therapist behavior while preparing for real-life patient situations.
