Mission
To increase access to health care, with a focus on medically underserved communities, by educating highly qualified physician assistants in the primary care model.

Objectives
     - Recruit and educate diverse, service-oriented PA students
     - Provide skilled physician assistants to decrease health care
        disparities in the diverse communities in which they serve.
     - Prepare graduates to deliver culturally sensitive patient-centered
        evidence based care as members of the interprofessional team
     - Promote and expand the PA profession through leadership,
        scholarship and service

• Announcing the election of Constance Goldgar, MS, PA-C as President of the 2013 Board of Directors of the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). • May 25th at 10:00 AM Class 42 Physician Assistant Commencement Ceremony at the School of Medicine - Kingsbury Hall

  Graduating PA student, Wagma Mohmand has been selected by the School of Medicine to give one of the Response of the Class speeches during the commencement ceremony. The theme of this year's commencement is "Reflections on Becoming a Healer". This is the first time someone other than a medical student has been given this opportunity at the School of Medicine's Commencement Ceremony. She was chosen from applicants from programs other than medical school including Public Health, Biochemistry, Laboratory Medicine, Genetics, Occupational Medicine and others. Wagma and a medical student will both give their speeches after the Keynote Speaker's address and Hippocratic Oath.

  Chad Spilker, also graduating PA student has been chosen to sing the national anthem at the beginning of the ceremony. Congratulations to both for these honors!
