Utah Pediatric Partnership to Improve Healthcare Quality

Screening for Maternal Depression Learning Collaborative

Project Overview:

In September 2006, six primary care practice teams across Utah participated in a Learning Collaborative to learn how to implement routine screening for maternal depression screening during early childhood visits. During the Learning Collaborative, practices learned the best-practices for screening and referral for maternal depression, identified available community resources, and developed action plans for implementing changes in daily practice.  Practices conducted chart audits for 6-months to measure their progress in reaching their improvement goals.
