Utah County Early Childhood Oral Health Learning Collaborative
Project Overview:
In November of 2006, seventeen primary care practice teams in Utah County learned how to perform pediatric oral health risk assessments, provide age-appropriate anticipatory guidance, apply fluoride varnish, and establish connections with local dental resources. Practices also learned quality improvement techniques to help them implement changes into their daily practice. Practices received ongoing support and conducted chart audits for 6-months following the Learning Session to measure their progress in reaching their improvement goals.
