Services

The Office of the Ombudsman is a resource for members of the University of Utah Health community (including faculty and trainees) with a problem or concern. We provide informal conflict management and work to promote fair treatment and fair process.

1) Services of the the Ombudsman include listening, providing information, helping visitors identify possible solutions to problems, making referrals to other resources, facilitating meetings, and less commonly conducting informal investigations and carrying out shuttle diplomacy.

2) The Facilitation Service provides a neutral negotiation resource to help disputing parties resolve work-related problems or conflicts primarily regarding career-line faculty members and matters pertaining to their contracts.
