Administrative Staff Continue Annual Tradition of Giving Back at Utah Food Bank
Last month, the Department of Anesthesiology administrative staff volunteered at the Utah Food Bank. By coming together to continue this annual tradition, the team supported the food bank’s vital mission to fight hunger across the state.
According to the Utah Food Security Council, one in 10 Utah families experience food insecurity, and more than 100,000 families lack consistent access to enough food. The Utah Food Bank itself also reports that 12% of Utah’s children – approximately one in six – are impacted.
In just one hour of volunteering, our team packaged 430 boxes and sorted 1,000 pounds of food to help distribute to those in need.
The department remains committed to demonstrating the power of teamwork and giving back to our community. We are proud to support this important cause and encourage others to get involved, whether through volunteering their time or contributing donations.
