Janet Iwasa (Biochemistry) and Randall Peterson (Pharmacology & Toxicology) have been selected as the recipients of the 2026 Excellence in Collaboration Award at the Huntsman Cancer Institute Annual Awards.  This award recognizes HCI Cancer Center Members for their leadership in securing a major collaborative grant and their significant contributions to advancing cancer research through interdisciplinary partnership.

Janet and Randall's work "exemplifies the spirit of teamwork and innovation that defines Huntsman Cancer Institute", Brad Cairns, the CEO of Huntsman Cancer Institute, said, further stating "Through your collaborative approach, you have not only elevated the quality and impact of scientific inquiry but also strengthened the connections that make our research community thrive.".
