Before using OpenSpecimen, all users must first register their projects or study in ProTrackS. After registration you will receive an email confirming your submission, including: CCTS ID and Project title. Each service/resource or information you have requested alerts a CCTS provider and you will be contacted within 1 business day.

OpenSpecimen is a biobanking informatics platform partially subsidized for University of Utah research needs by the Center for Clinical Translational Science. OpenSpecimen allows users to collect disease-specific annotations, clinical and pathology data, study-specific parameters, patient questionnaires, QA/QC data, specimen lifecycle events, and any other site-specific custom data. OpenSpecimen also contains a reporting module extract data from all types of datasets.

The CCTS biospecimen management system can be used to track data for biobanking efforts and individual labs who are tracking specimen data for a clinical trial. We can meet with you to discuss what areyour specific needs for your lab environment. We will work with you to make a transition as smooth as possible.
