When students go through the Masters or PhD programs they have gained experience using many informatics tools, such as:

• Machine Learning
• Natural Language Processing
• Clinical Decision Support
• Systems Analysis
• Standards Terminology and Practices (SNOMED, LOINC, ICD-10, etc.)

Depending on what courses our students have taken, students are equipped for data science positions, clinical informaticist, biomedical informaticists, and much more in the field of health informatics.

As part of the Master students' curriculum, they are encouraged to seek out projects that will help them use the tools they learn. They are also required to seek out a project that they will use as their capstone.
