IABtalks Networking Events

In an abundance of caution during this period of uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the April 15, 2020 IABtalks event. The Department of Biomedical Informatics Industry Advisory Board (IAB) at the University of Utah has rescheduled this informative and engaging event on Thursday, October 29, 2020.

This continues to be a great event, with students attending from across the state and many students with biomedical informatics and computer science backgrounds. This event also draws many professionals in industry and government who look forward to networking with others in the biomedical informatics field.

She joined the UUH team in March of 2019. Her topic for the evening is “Capacity Building for Biomedical Informatics & Data Science in the New Decade.”

The IABtalks event will be held on the sixth floor of the S.J. Quinney School of Law building overlooking the SLC skyline. The evening will begin with a light dinner buffet and networking mixer where students can meet our industry sponsors to learn about the different career opportunities available in the field. Dinner and networking will be followed by a student panel discussion, then a TEDtalk-style Keynote Presentation. Dessert will be served after the presentations where additional networking is encouraged.
