Dr. Mollie Cummins
Mollie R. Cummins, PhD, RN, FAANMy research interests relate to leveraging data for improved efficiency, communication, and decision making in health care. I developed a model for bidirectional electronic communication and information sharing across organizational boundaries using existing health information exchange technology. Currently, I'm studying the outcomes of implementing this model to support communication and collaboration between emergency departments and poison control centers for treatment of poison exposed patients. My work reflects an interdisciplinary approach to studying problems in informatics and I collaborate extensively with colleagues at the Utah Poison Control Center.
