On September 4, 2025, the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine (DFPM) gathered at Salt and Olive for its annual Faculty Appointment, Review, and Advancement (FARA) Awards Reception.

Department Advisory Committee Chair Karly Pippitt, MD, presented the awards and highlighted the achievements of the faculty promoted during the 2024-2025 cycle, recognizing their contributions to research, education, and clinical care. Both Tiffany Ho, MD, and Sonia Malik, MD, were promoted to associate professor on the clinical track in the Division of Family & Community Medicine.

Dr. Ho is a dedicated educator and researcher. She has received several teaching awards from Family Medicine residents and serves on national academic committees. Dr. Ho has participated in the department’s Health Studies Fund Clinician Scholars Program and is currently part of the Vice President's Clinical and Translational Research Scholars Program, where she is furthering her research on the long-term safety and efficacy of gender-affirming care across the lifespan.
