The PhD in Occupational and Environmental Health degree program is designed to train individuals interested in extending their professional Occupational Health practice through coursework applicable to research, academia or allowing for higher placement in career areas such as prominent businesses, private organizations, insurance and government.

- PhD emphasis in Occupational Injury Prevention Research Training (OIPRT)
- PhD emphasis in General Occupational and Environmental Health
Faculty Consensus
Prospective student’s projected dissertation topic and suitability will be evaluated during the application process. The RMCOEH Faculty Admissions Committee will screen applications for preliminary suitability for consideration to extend an interview. Faculty consensus is required prior to admission to help assure successful completion of the program. Students are invited to identify an OEH Faculty Advisor for mentoring and supervision prior to receiving an offer of admission.
