Online application - PLEASE NOTE: On the application, under ‘Program Information’ please select ‘Salt Lake City Campus’ and ‘Intended graduate program and degree: Public Health MPH’ even if you are applying to the Asia campus.
Please indicate the Asia Campus in the last ‘Public Health’ section, from the ‘Location’ drop-down menu that says ‘Please specify the University of Utah location you plan on attending (choose one):’, please select ‘Incheon, South Korea’.
Once submitted, the application can’t be changed. Be sure to review the Apply Yourself Tutorial to make sure you have included all of the required information. Make sure you use an email you will have continued access to; notifications will be sent through that email. Also, upload all unofficial transcripts, including University of Utah.
Transcripts - Prior to the admissions deadline: You must have an unofficial transcript from each institution from which you have earned college credit (including the University of Utah) uploaded to the online ApplyYourself application. There are instructions on this in the ApplyYourself tutorial.
If you are admitted into the MPH program: You must submit an official transcript from each institution from which you have earned college credit (except the University of Utah) to the Office of Admissions. Please see the Office of Admissions website for details on how to submit official transcripts. If you fail to submit official transcripts, you will be unable to register for classes.
Demonstration of Competencies - Applicants without a terminal degree (e.g., MD, JD, or PhD) earned from a U.S. institution will need to demonstrate adequate quantitative competencies. Applicants can use prior college course work (e.g., completion of college algebra, calculous or statistics with a B or better grade) or scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Submit GRE scores using University of Utah school code 4853, department code 0616.
Three letters of recommendation - Required for each masters applicant; the recommendation letters should come from persons familiar with the applicant's academic and professional capabilities, achievements, work experience and/or personal qualities—not family or friends. There is no specific format for these letters.
