Driving disaster research & practice to build healthier, more resilient communities

Every day around the world, individuals, families, communities, and nations are confronted with large-scale emergencies that threaten their health and security. These emergencies may be the result of natural hazards (geological, climatological, or biological) or human-induced (both intentional and non-intentional).

Our Mission

To partner with public health professionals and communities to turn evidence into solutions that help them prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies and disasters.

Our Vision

To be the trusted academic resource for emergency public health, advancing science and practice through research, training, and service.
