We are pleased to announce open enrollment for the Master of Public Health degree program for the 2019 - 2020 acedemic year.

Admissions deadlines: 1st priority 28th February, June 30th final

The MPH degree program at the University of Utah, including the West Africa program in Ghana,is appropriate for the student who plans a career as a practice focused professional in public health. The 45 credit hour professional degree can be completed in a one year intensive program or a two year program in Ghana. Students who undertake their training on a part-time basis because of work or other commitments may require more time.

The University of Utah is honored and excited to receive Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Ghana to start its Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program in West Africa at the Ensign College of Public Health located at Kpong, Ghana. Students from around the world will have convenient access to the University of Utah’s amazing faculty, staff, and academic culture at the Ensign College of Public Health Campus.All courses are taught in English by University of Utah faculty, allowing students to have the same quality of education in Ghana while earning their CEPH-accredited MPH degree from the University of Utah. The CEPH accreditation provides immediate recognition from the academic public health community.

The MPH program at the University of Utah emphasizes the five core areas basic to public health: biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, health policy and administration, and social and behavioral science. Public health includes professionals from many fields who share the common purpose of keeping communities healthy. Students have the option to complete the MPH degree at the Ensign College of Public Health campus or flex between the Asia, Salt Lake City, and West Africa campuses. Students at the West Africa campus have the option to enroll in an accelerated program of study to complete their degree in one year.

Flexibility - Students have flexibility to determine the pace at which they would like to complete their degree. You can finish in one or two years at the Ensign College of Public Health Campus.
