Academic Bio

Christopher Jones, MD, PhD retired from patient care on 07/01/2011 and is now devoting his time to sleep research. He previously served as Medical Director for the University of Utah’s Sleep-Wake Center. In 1992, Dr. Jones discovered the first reported kindred of people with autosomal-dominant advanced sleep phase syndrome. Dr. Jones is also the recipient of the 2002 American Academy of Neurology Sleep Science Award.
