Mark Leppert, PhD, is a professor and co-chair in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Utah and a member of the Cancer Control and Population Sciences Program at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Leppert provides researchers throughout the world with access to genetic markers and techniques for rapid, large-scale genotyping which helps identify genes associated with cancer. He hopes to develop new and improved techniques for identifying genetic variations that indicate predispositions to cancer and other diseases.

Leppert received a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a PhD from the University of Minnesota.
