My approach to teaching is to value curiosity. I hope to create an environment in which students find and cultivate an area of nursing that most engages them. In my experience it is essential for nursing students to develop concepts of health and health promotion across the life span along with the fundamentals of nursing practice. I have worked and taught in the maternal newborn area for over 30 years and have been a faculty member here at the College of Nursing for the past 12 years. My areas of interest are health promotion, maternal and newborn health and patient advocacy.
