Cynthia Best is currently the Vice Dean for Finance and Administration in the School of Medicine at the University of Utah. In her role in the Dean’s Office, which she has held since July 2011, Cynthia is responsible for all Dean’s Office financial operations, the malpractice insurance trust fund, and School of Medicine department oversight. She serves as a liaison with and resource for the AAMC, the University campus, and the School department administrators.
Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and earned a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Care. Her professional areas of expertise, from experience in both academic health care and the private sector, include financial management, system development, and organizational change.
