Academic Bio

Carl Christensen, M.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and George E. Wahlen Veterans Administration Medical Center serving in chest, body, ultrasound and musculoskeletal imaging while specializing in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. His interests include biliary imaging, radioactive thyroid ablation, single photon emission computed tomography and positron emission tomography. Dr. Christensen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Utah. He completed his internship at Legacy Emmanuel Hospitals in Portland, Oregon before completing a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1999. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
