Academic Bio

Sarah Beesley, MD MS is a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician. Dr. Beesley received her undergraduate degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology from Brigham Young University (Provo, UT) in 2005. She received her Medical Doctorate from Weill Cornell Medical College (New York City, NY) in 2009. Dr. Beesley completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Tufts Medical Center (Boston, MA), finishing in 2012. Dr Beesley completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Utah and spent two years as a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Recipient.

Research Statement

Dr Beesley is a pulmonary and critical care physician researcher at Intermountain Medical Center. She has worked with the Center for Humanizing Critical Care for several years and has a longstanding interest in patient- and family- related outcomes during and after acute critical illness. Dr Beesley’s research focus is on family engagement.
