Born and raised in Minnesota, I attended college and medical school at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. I went on to complete a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, and have been practicing as a Hospitalist at Intermountain Medical Center since 2018. My interests include resident education, mentorship, addiction medicine, and patient safety. I have found Intermountain to be a great place to work because I enjoy the diverse backgrounds and interests of learners training here. My wife and I love living in Salt Lake City. We enjoy hiking, biking, fly-fishing and outdoor concerts in the summer, as well as skiing, Utah Jazz basketball, and exploring the city's restaurants in the winter. You can't beat the weekend getaways just a few hours from town, and some of our favorites are Moab, Las Vegas, Jackson Hole and Sun Valley.
