Academic Bio

Brenner Freeman, MD, Assistant Professor (Clinical), earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. He completed general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He served as chief resident in his final year of fellowship. His areas of interest include childhood trauma, positive psychology and identity formation, and the relationship spirituality plays in mental health. Dr. Freeman practices clinically as an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist at the University's Huntsman Mental Health Institute. He is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
