Academic Bio

T. Wade Fallin received his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1984, and his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1995. He is a former serial entrepreneur and innovator in the medical device industry, focused in the orthopedic and spine markets. He co-founded five companies: MedicineLodge I, MedicineLodge II, Facet Solutions, VentureMD and Surgical Frontiers. He currently holds over 200 issued U.S. patents. He joined the faculty of the Department of Orthopaedics in 2018 as Adjunct Professor and serves as the Executive Director of the Louis S. Peery, M.D. Orthopaedic Innovation Center.
