Center for Global Surgery

We're writing a new social contract.

A great political moment faces the global health community, to respond to shifting epidemiological trends that show that deaths from surgical diseases have overtaken death tolls from TB, Malaria, and HIV combined. The Center of Global Surgery participates in partnerships that refocus attention on this emerging category of disesase and its mounting global cost that falls disproportionately on low & middle-income countries. The Center for Global Surgery stands in alignment with with global-goal setting in the post-2015 development agenda and engages with a set of global partners in order to build the capacity of national systems to supply essential & emergency surgical care as part of universal health-care package.
