We are excited to welcome Alex Phillips as Senior Director of Advancement for Cardiovascular Initiatives at the University of Utah.

In this role, Alex will oversee philanthropic strategy and charitable giving efforts to advance cardiovascular care, research, and education across our institution. He brings a strong track record of building meaningful partnerships and driving impactful fundraising initiatives within the health sciences.

Alex has been with the University of Utah for the past three years, where he has led a team of frontline fundraisers and helped guide strategic development efforts across several key areas, including:

• The Immunology, Inflammation, and Infectious Disease (3i) Research Initiative
  The Microbiota and Gastrointestinal Immunology Consortium (MAGIC)
  The Department of Dermatology
  The Department of Internal Medicine

Prior to joining the University of Utah, Alex served as Director of Development at Utah Valley University, supporting fundraising efforts for the Woodbury School of Business and the School of Education, including the Melisa Nellesen Center for Autism. He also brings valuable experience from a Fortune 500 healthcare company.

Alex is enthusiastic about this new chapter and looks forward to advancing the cardiovascular service line through strong philanthropic partnerships and collaboration.
