General Internal Medicine Welcomes New Team Members
David Gonzales, DNP AGACNP CCRN
David Gonzales lives in Utah with his wife, Morgan, and their two daughters, Willow (6) and Scarlett ( 4). He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, building obstacle courses with his kids, golfing, and weight lifting. Born in Santa Ana, California, and later moved to Utah, where he began his nursing journey at Ameritech College. He went on to earn his Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah, specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP). With a strong background in EMS, trauma, and critical care nursing, David has developed a passion for high-acuity care and clinical excellence. He also has a deep love for teaching and has taught nursing at the collegiate level, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of nurses.
Leah Stinson, MD
Leah Stinson is originally from upstate New York, then moved to Minnesota for high school, college, and medical school. She completed internal medicine residency and chief residency at the University of Utah. She is interested in medical education and caring for rural and underserved communities. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, running, downhill and cross country skiing, and playing cards and board games.
Dylan Vainer, MD
Dylan Vainer, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Utah. He practices at the CommonSpirit Holy Cross Jordan Valley hospital location. As an internal medicine specialist, his research interests include medical education and procedural training. Dr. Vainer received his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He completed internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed an obesity medicine fellowship at the University of Utah.
