Dr. Couriel has led the BMT Program through a remarkable period of growth and innovation. Under his leadership, the program has significantly expanded its stem cell transplant services and emerged as a leader in the rapidly evolving field of cellular therapy. Among the program's many accomplishments during his tenure have been the development of in-house CAR-T cell products, an achievement that has positioned our institution at the forefront of translational immunotherapy. Dr. Couriel is stepping away to dedicate his efforts to improving access to cellular therapies in non-academic hospital settings. He will continue to serve as the Medical Director of the Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine (CTRM) Program, and remain a senior advisor to the BMT Program
