Dr. Ming Lim Selected as a Fellow of the Academy of Health Science Educators

The University of Utah Academy of Health Science Educators welcomes Ming Lim from the Division of Hematology & Hematologic Malignancies as a Fellow of the Academy

The University of Utah will induct 11 new Fellows to the Academy of Health Science Educators this year. Dr. Ming Lim was selected for this honor in recognition of her dedication to advancing education and fostering collaboration within the University of Utah Health community. 

Dr. Lim, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies at the University of Utah School of Medicine and serves as Medical Director of the Utah Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders at University of Utah Health. She trained at Cambridge University in England, completed her internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, and fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her clinical expertise and research focus on hemostasis and thrombosis, particularly complications in people with congenital bleeding disorders such as hemophilia and bleeding challenges in pregnancy.

Dr. Lim has been nationally active in her field, holding leadership roles with bodies such as the American Board of Internal Medicine Hematology Committee, the American Society of Hematology Subcommittee on Stewardship and Systems-Based Hematology, and contributing to National Comprehensive Cancer Network guideline panels. She has received peer-recognition awards for teaching excellence and maintains an active research and publication record in hematologic disorders
