University of Utah Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Awarded Center of Excellence by Arrhythmia Alliance

University of Utah Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology has been awarded as a Center of Excellence status by Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A), an international non-profit organization that provides support, information, education, and awareness to all those affected by or involved in the care of cardiac arrhythmias. In conjunction with the Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) Centers of Excellence program, Benjamin A. Steinberg, MD, MHS, FACC, Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, has been recognized as an SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) Healthcare Pioneer.
The Centers of Excellence program has recognized Steinberg as a pioneer in the management of the heart rhythm disorder (an arrhythmia) – supraventricular tachycardia and has demonstrated best practice. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of heart rhythm disorders, ranging from the abnormally slow to irregular and fast arrhythmias.
“I am thrilled to be recognized as an SVT Pioneer and that the Cardiovascular Medicine Division at the University of Utah has been acknowledged as a center of excellence,” said Steinberg. “Our Cardiovascular Center offers one of the most comprehensive programs to treat complex arrhythmias, such as SVT, in our region. Thus, for Arrhythmia Alliance to honor our innovative work with this award is a real achievement. We will be delighted if we, by being listed as a center of excellence, inspire others to improve care and quality of life for people with SVT!”
As part of its Centers of Excellence program, Arrhythmia Alliance has published a new report “Healthcare Pioneers Report — Showcasing Best Practice in SVT” to highlight the work of the centers and the SVT Pioneers. The aim of the report is to provide examples of good care to inspire centers around the world to improve care and quality of life for people with SVT.
