Community Addiction Roundtables (CAR)

Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah supported PARCKA to provide four Community Addiction Roundtables (CAR). Regence supported us in our request to address the urgent need among communities to treat and address the addiction crisis. CAR provided a vehicle for discussion and interchange with concerned citizens from a variety of backgrounds about their concerns and how to collaborate to address addiction.

Neighborhood Chats, Addiction 101 Family Practice & Community Lectures

In support from the Sorensen Legacy Foundation, PARCKA hosted four prescriber training's - lunch-and-learns - to primary care health care teams on opioid prescribing issues, controlled substance database use, and best practices for reducing unintended deaths from prescription opioids. We hosted two community based evening lecture/discussions, one to a community of high risk/use rates and one for Veterans and their families.

PARCKA Utah Buprenorphine Waiver Initiative and Education (PUBWIE)

PUBWIE will increase safe buprenorphine prescribing and practice by expanding the number of waiver trained medical providers in the State of Utah. Six trainings will be
facilitated by two professionals certified through the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry
(AAAP).
