Aging Brain Care Program at University of Utah Health

The University of Utah Aging Brain Care (ABC) Program, an interdisciplinary clinic in the Division of Geriatrics, has been evaluating, diagnosing, and caring for those with cognitive disorders since July 2020.
Directed by Dr. Michelle Sorweid, dementia specialist, this clinic includes other Geriatricians and Geriatric Psychiatry providers, licensed social work and care management staff with additional training in the management and treatment of cognitive disorders. This program provides services such as advanced neuroimaging, disease education and ongoing clinical management of behavioral symptoms associated with dementias and other cognitive disturbances.
The ABC Program collaborate on research efforts at the University of Utah as well as with other faculty in the Departments of Neurology, Radiology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry. Other resources when clinically indicated may be cognitive rehabilitation, speech therapy, physical therapy and other services.
