MAJOR RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR HEMATOLOGY AND HEMATOLOGIC MALIGNANCIES FACULTY
Like no other discipline, Hematology connects to literally all areas of medicine. Hematologic malignancies encompass many of the most effectively treatable (and sometimes curable) malignancies but also some of the most intractable, debilitating diseases. The University of Utah recognizes that this inherent connectivity renders Hematology a prime field for productive integration across multiple disciplines.
In a coordinated effort, the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Department of Internal Medicine have combined resources to facilitate the recruitment of outstanding faculty whose scientific focus is blood diseases, including both malignant and classical disorders. Positions are available at the assistant professor, associate professor, and professor levels. We are seeking MD, MD PhD, and PhD faculty with a commitment to visionary clinical-translational research. We are looking for applicants with a record of innovation and productivity supported by extramural funding. Recruits will be provided with generous start-up packages with resources sufficient to ensure successful program implementation. Academic appointments will typically reside in the Department of Internal Medicine/Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies.

The Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies currently has a near 40 faculty members with diverse scientific and clinical interests. For several years, clinical activity and extramural funding have demonstrated a steep upward trajectory. The Division is committed to the core values of excellence, respect, integrity, and diversity.
