Projects & Funding

Current Projects

  • Developing localized drug delivery treatments to promote hemodialysis access function.
  • Examining the role of adipokines and heme oxygenase-1 in hemodialysis fistula maturation.
  • Examining the role of soluble epoxide hydrolase, an enzyme that metabolizes vasoactive epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, in neointimal hyperplasia and catheter thrombosis.
  • Developing nerve guide conduits to deliver drugs to promote peripheral nerve regeneration.
  • Investigating the use of autologous fat transplants to deliver glitazone drugs and adiponectin to inhibit breast cancer.

Current Funding
