Clinical Experience

New Fellow Orientation

First year fellows attend a simulation boot camp that provides training in the management of the difficult airway, vascular access, code leadership, thoracic ultrasound, pleural procedures and ventilator management. They also take a 10-week physiology course that teaches advanced physiology as it pertains to the management of complex critically ill and pulmonary patients. First-year fellows also receive a comprehensive summer curriculum on the basics of pulmonary and critical care which is provided by select faculty with expertise in each topic presented.
