David Morton, PhD, recently delivered the 2026 School of Medicine commencement speech, offering remarks to graduating medical students as they marked an important milestone in their medical training.
The Department congratulates Dr. Morton on his new position as Chair of the Department of Preparatory Learning for the new medical school at Brigham Young University. We also thank him for his many years of service to the University of Utah and for his lasting contributions as a wonderful educator, leader, mentor, and colleague.
