Currently Accepting Applications

We are currently accepting applications for the 2022–2023 fellowship position and will conduct interviews on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Successful applicants must have completed a neurosurgery residency program. All eligible incoming fellows must obtain a Utah Medical License, a Utah Controlled Substance License, and a Federal DEA Certificate prior to beginning his/her fellowship at the University of Utah.

International Applicants

The functional neurosurgery fellowship program at the University of Utah accepts applications from international medical graduates. These applicants must be qualified for the fellowship program according to the same criteria used for all applicants to the program. The Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) requires applicants to have completed two years of training in an ACGME accredited program to issue a Utah medical license.

In addition, international graduates must have a valid ECFMG certificate before they can be considered. A J-1 Visa (or citizenship or permanent residency or approval of application for permanent residency) is required for all non-US citizens in a training program who provide patient care.
