Jason was born in Cheongju, South Korea and immigrated to Racine, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, during which he began to dive into his interest in neurosurgery and the neurosciences through research in endovascular neurosurgery and neuro-epigenetics. He completed both his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Medical Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Interests & Hobbies
Jason's hobbies include skiing, golfing, weightlifting, model kit building, and watching horror movies with his wife.
Why Utah?
Jason completed a sub-internship in the University of Utah and was impressed by the complexity and diversity of neurosurgical cases as well as the supportive environment that residents and staff have created. The holistic neurosurgical experience and robust camaraderie led Jason to choose the University of Utah.
