    About Me

I was born in Santa Monica, California, but grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho where I participated in many school activities such as wrestling, soccer, track, and student government at Idaho Falls High School. I then attended Brigham Young University during which I served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Rome, Italy. After completing a degree in Biochemistry I attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. I am married to my high school crush and together we have three beautiful children.

    Medical Areas of Interest

I have greatly enjoyed my time so far at The University of Utah training as a neurosurgeon. My interests are still vast and include, spine, vascular, endovascular, functional, trauma, and pediatrics

    Interests & Hobbies

For many years, I have enjoyed running and have participated in several marathons. I hope to one day run a marathon in every state of the USA. I'm an avid soccer, baseball, and football fan and enjoy watching a game whenever I can. I enjoy hiking and camping and have acquired a vast collection of camping gear over the years. I enjoy my assignment as a teacher at our church. Recently I have discovered the joys of DIY home improvement and I am honing my skills as I refinish our home basement. I love cooking and eating Italian food. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially when we spend that time traveling together.

    Why Utah?

As a medical student I completed a month-long rotation at the University of Utah. My time was rewarding and enjoyable. My wife and I are both from Idaho and were excited at the possibility to move closer to family and relatives. Utah covers a large geographical area with patient’s coming from all over the Intermountain West, allowing us to treat a diverse range of neurosurgical problems. Salt Lake City is also unique in its proximity to some of the greatest outdoor activities in the world, such as skiing and hiking along the Wasatch mountain range.
