We’re excited to share that RMCDS will be at the NCRA Annual Educational Conference in Louisville this May 5–8, and we’d love for you to look for us while you’re there. It’s always energizing to connect with the cancer registry community in person, talking about the work happening across oncology programs and sharing what’s next for RMCDS and the people we support every day. If you’re attending, stop by to say hello, see a demo, and start a conversation with our team.
One of the biggest things we’re looking forward to sharing is the new face of our cancer registry software. Alongside our update for NAACCR Version 26, effective May 11, 2026, we’ve been focused on delivering meaningful improvements that make day-to-day work easier for registrars. This includes a more intuitive login experience, the ability to save and quickly access favorite programs, and hover-over descriptions that make navigation clearer and more efficient. The refreshed interface also brings a cleaner layout and smoother navigation, helping reduce clicks and streamline common workflows.
We are ready for the update to NAACCR Version 26. We are just waiting for AJCC to release its own update on May 8.
We’ll also be introducing a new AI-powered reporting tool at the conference. This feature allows users to simply ask for a report in plain English and receive a downloadable report with visuals, lowering the barrier to creating basic reports and saving valuable time.
Behind the scenes, we’ve continued building toward enhancements like an expanded help menu, improved HIPAA logging, and a dashboard for tracking ODS performance. We’re also working on streamlining geocoding ahead of submission, making it as simple as clicking a button and downloading the necessary report.
The good news is that while the platform is evolving, it will still work the way users expect, so teams can move forward with confidence while benefiting from a more modern experience. And for anyone concerned about change, a legacy view option will be available, allowing users to switch back to the previous look as needed. This is a facelift with purpose, one more step toward supporting the evolving needs of the cancer registry world.
We also want to remind organizations that if you’re feeling a little behind, managing a backlog, or struggling to find registrars, RMCDS is here to help. Our abstraction services team can step in to support your program—whether that means catching up on backlog cases, providing short-term coverage, or offering ongoing abstraction support. We’d love to learn more about your needs, talk through where your team could use help, and build the right plan for your organization. Reach out, request a quote, and let’s start the conversation.
