Aminat Agaba named 2026 recipient of the Dr. David N. Sundwall Award.
This award is presented annually to an exemplary AHEC Scholar who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the mission and values of the AHEC Scholars Program. Recipients are recognized for their dedication to service, leadership, interprofessional collaboration, community engagement, and efforts to improve health outcomes, particularly among underserved populations.
In its notification, the AHEC selection committee highlighted Aminat’s exceptional dedication, professionalism, initiative, active participation, and meaningful contributions throughout her time as an AHEC Scholar. Her commitment to serving communities and advancing health equity reflects the highest ideals of both the AHEC Scholars Program and the Physician Assistant profession.
Aminat will be formally recognized during the 11th Annual Primary Care Summit on October 9, 2026, at Weber State University.
