Top 10 Reasons to Come to Utah

  1. My co-residents are my family. People I not only count on at work, but love spending time with outside the hospital.
  2. Living in vacation land. Everything is 10 minutes away, including the mountains, mountains, and more mountains, skiing, hiking, backpacking. The city and state are very dog-friendly, so we bring our fur-babies with us everywhere.
  3. So close to many amazing national parks. Yellowstone, MOAB, Teton National Park, Arches National Park, Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Capital Reef National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Zion are all 4-6 hours driving distance.
  4. Incredible research support. We have an entire division to help with IRB, data collection, statistics, and coordinator of presentations.
  5. Our MFM division is thriving. We work with internationally renown perinatalogists who are actively engaged in our training.
  6. Large catchment area- we get transports from 5+ surrounding states, and so get to see serious and rare conditions that impact women.
  7. Incredible birth rate. We get to delivery TONS of babies, and then see the complications of women who have had a ton of deliveries.
  8. Gynecologic surgery- we operate starting day 1, and have incredible breadth and depth of experience.
  9. The program prepares graduates well for fellowship, academic careers, and community positions!
  10. NATALIE (aka Mama Bear)! Having a program coordinator who is invested in our lives and training, available to us at the drop of a hat, and so kind makes this crazy journey exponentially better.
