About Me
If I weren’t an OB/GYN...
I would be a professional hip hop dancer. I love to dance and performing on stage gives such a thrill. Plus if I joined a popstar on their tour I would get to travel everywhere!
Medical Areas of Interest:
General OB/GYN, medical education, global health, health care access, and working with underserved/uninsured populations.
Interests & Hobbies:
I love to read, travel (I try to go to one new country a year), spending time with my husband and our many fur babies (4 dogs, 4 cats, I know it’s a lot), playing pickleball, or doing any new experience! Broadway show? I’m down. Titanic museum? Yes! 10 mile hike in the snow? Count me in.
Why Utah:
My top priority was finding a program that felt like home. During my interview here, I felt an immediate connection and could feel the warmth and support emanating from each person in the program. Now that I’m here, I can say those feelings are 100% true.
I love being in this program where we work hard, lift each other up, and come to work knowing the day will be full of learning and laughter. I was also drawn to Utah’s high volume of patients, acuity of care, global health opportunities and their work with underserved/uninsured populations. The dedication to these areas from my co-residents, fellows and attendings made it an easy choice for me. As an added bonus, I’m just a drive away from my family in California and Utah is absolutely beautiful.
Hometown:
Bakersfield, CA (But lived in NC for half of high school and went to UNC for undergrad and medical school. GO HEELS!)
