About Me
If I weren’t an OB/GYN...
I would be a helicopter pilot. I grew up cross country ski training on a glacier in Alaska (accessed via helicopter) and have loved helicopters ever since.
Medical Areas of Interest:
MFM, urogynecology, reproductive justice, tribal/underserved care, medical education, global health
Interests & Hobbies:
I try to spend as much time outside as possible, whether it’s trail running, skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, or post-work sunset picnics in the foothills. I enjoy live music and have recently fallen in love with making pottery.
Why Utah:
The exceptional surgical training, obstetric and gynecologic volume, and high acuity make the University of Utah my dream program. I am confident that I will graduate extremely surgically competent and will be set up for success in whatever direction I decide to take my career. I will have the mentorship and research opportunities to pursue the fellowship of my choosing or the training that will make me an excellent generalist if that is the direction I ultimately choose. Perhaps most importantly, I have been blown away by the incredibly supportive and collaborative culture of this program from the first day I walked into L&D during my third year of medical school. I am honored to join this kind, humble, collaborative, and brilliant group of doctors and reproductive health advocates.
Hometown:
Anchorage, AK
