Orthopaedics Fellowships

Our Team

sarcoma college

The Department of Orthopaedics has 13 fellows in seven different subspecialties each year. Every specialty focuses on both didactic and clinical education through weekly conferences, full department Grand Rounds, and busy clinical practices. The fellowships provide intensive focus for 1 year on the further development of subspecialty Orthopaedics. All of our programs start on August 1st and finish the following July.

Fellows Development

Contributors

In addition to working closely with nationally recognized faculty and gaining experience with the latest in orthopaedics, fellows are an integral part of our education program. Fellows are closely tied to our residency program and are key contributors to our resident education efforts. Fellows are not only here to learn, but also to teach.

Research

In addition, they have an opportunity to join our robust research program. An immense infrastructure exists for basic science, biomechanical, and clinical research projects.

Opportunity

All of our fellowship programs rotate through the university and affiliated hospitals – University Orthopaedic Center, University Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Primary Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, and the VA Medical Center. All of these facilities conveniently lie within 2 miles of each other. Excellent housing is close by, along with a variety of outdoor activities Utah has to offer, providing a minimal commute for day-to-day activities.
