University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics Welcomes Dr. Elizabeth Graesser to Hand Division Faculty

Salt Lake City, UT — The University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elizabeth Graesser as the newest Instructor, Tenure-track Faculty Member in the Hand Division. Dr. Graesser brings expertise in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery, enhancing the department’s commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Graesser began her academic journey at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then returned to her hometown to pursue a Doctor of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, where she also completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency. During her time there, she was recognized for her leadership and service, serving as the Administrative Chief Resident.

Dr. Graesser completed her advanced fellowship training in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Utah, where she trained alongside leaders in the field. She officially joined the faculty on August 1, 2025, upon completion of her fellowship.
